The Video Content

We produced a high-energy aftermovie capturing the scale, emotion, and cultural impact of the event, supported by real-time social media management and viral short-form content. The social-first video strategy drove organic reach of 7.5 million on TikTok, extending the experience far beyond race day.

Scalable Design System

The visual system was built for flexibility, integrating seamlessly across platforms like the Hollywoodbets Durban July app and website, and easily adopted by both creative and technical teams.

Project

We conceived and led the creative direction for the theme, anchored by the central concept Feel the Pulse of the Nation, which became the foundation for all visual and experiential elements.

From this idea, we designed the official theme logo, developed four original, never-seen-before patterns, and generated lifelike AI models to express the diversity, energy, and spirit of South Africa.

The rollout became the most successful theme interpretation in the event’s history, widely adopted by fashion designers, sponsors, and partner brands. The concept resonated deeply with South Africans, inspiring national pride and emotional connection across the event.

Live Activations

The visual language enabled a wide range of on-ground activations, from photo moments and branded environments to printed materials and fashion applications, allowing the theme to come alive across multiple physical touchpoints.

The theme system was designed to scale seamlessly across the Hollywoodbets Durban July calendar, adding value to lead-up and preliminary events while maintaining consistency and impact throughout the journey to race day.

Merchandise & Print

The patterns and visual assets were built for easy adaptation, making it simple to produce merchandise, collateral, and branded items without losing the integrity or impact of the theme.

AV & Event Integration

The design system translated effortlessly into screens, stage visuals, and broadcast environments, giving AV teams a clear and flexible framework to deliver a cohesive visual experience across the event.
